Mattia Digangi

Dr. Di Gangi is currently the Lead Scientist for Speech Translation at AppTek, where he focuses on automatic dubbing. He joined AppTek as a Speech Recognition Scientist after completing his Ph.D. in Machine Translation at FBK and the University of Trento, Italy.His Ph.D. thesis focused on Direct Speech Translation systems and received the Best Thesis Award from the European Association for Machine Translation,after the publication of numerous research papers at international conferences and journals.Before joining AppTek, he worked on Machine Translation for Dubbing during an internship at AWS.He received his Double Degree in Computer Science from the University of Palermo, Italy and the University Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, France, in 2016.
