Bob Carter

Bob Carter is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in public sector sales and management. Currently serving as Vice President of Public Sector at Apptio, an IBM Company, since April 2017, Bob utilizes Technology Business Management applications to enhance cost transparency and IT performance management. Prior to this role, Bob was Vice President of Federal Sales at Andreessen Horowitz, where responsibilities included building a direct sales organization and engaging reseller and solution providers. Bob's leadership at Vivisimo, Inc. as Vice President and General Manager Federal contributed to the company's acquisition by IBM, focusing on Big Data Analytics. Earlier roles include Vice President of Federal Sales at Network General and General Manager at Plumtree Software. Bob Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
