Brad Resh has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. From 2014-2015, they were a Graphic Designer for Texas Custom Apparel, LLC, a Science Project Coordinator for Brightwork CoResearch, and a Research Assistant for Ellzey Combustion Group. In 2016, they worked as an Engineering Intern for Houston Mechatronics, Inc. and from 2017-present, they have been a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Engineer for Apptronik and a Undergraduate Researcher for ReNeu Robotics Laboratory. During their time at Apptronik, they have assisted in the development of a high performance full body exoskeleton, led the mechanical design of a lightweight high payload robotic arm, conceptualized and designed actuation for an advanced electric humanoid robot, designed mechanical structure and led assembly of an advanced biped robot, and led the design of multiple rotary series elastic actuators. At Houston Mechatronics, Inc., they designed and fabricated electrically powered end-effectors to enable robotic arm to complete various industrial tasks, designed and fabricated compliant suspension leg mechanism for robot, and conducted thermal analysis to ensure safety of both robotic machinery and humans.
Brad Resh graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with High Honors and a Robotics Certificate.
