Rick Han is a roboticist and senior software engineer specializing in humanoid robotics, with a focus on motion planning and control. Currently, they work at Apptronik as a Senior Software Engineer for both TeleOperation System & Controls and Autonomy since 2025. Rick has previously served as a Robotics Engineer at the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute, where they led research on tactile sensing devices for robot manipulation and rehabilitation, and worked as a Software Engineer II at Agility Robotics. They also contributed to the development of force sensors and control strategies for humanoid robots as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University. Rick is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins' Whiting School of Engineering.
