Robert Appleton is a Visual Music Artist, Designer, Photographer, Musician, Teacher, and Researcher currently pursuing a PhD in music at York University. After returning to university in 2017 to study computation and linguistics, Robert completed a thesis on the multimedia language vorTEX. Originally from Scotland, Robert emigrated to the US in 1979 and has held various teaching positions at prestigious institutions such as Cooper Union and Parsons School of Design. Robert's work has received international accolades, including contributions to the AGI Foundation and art design for notable clients.
