Sergio Lima has a wealth of experience in the software and aviation industries. Sergio began their career in 2009 as a Software Developer at CERN, where they designed GUI for monitoring the flow of data from the Atlas experiment. In 2011, they became a Course Manager at Appamm, where they were responsible for syllabus design and teaching methodologies. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Freelancer, developing their own projects and teaching at academias. In 2015, they became an iOS Developer and Senior Android Developer at Cvent, where they developed android app factories for events management. In 2016, they took on the role of Scrum Master/AGILE at Lanyon. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Lead Mobile Developer at AppyWay, and a Senior Mobile Developer at Viriatus-Software. In 2020, they began their current role as a Theory Flight School Instructor at IFA - Aviation Training Center, where they teach ATPL subjects to new pilots inline with the new regulations set by EASA.

Sergio Lima obtained their Masters degree in Telecom, Electronics, and Software from Universidade de Aveiro between 2000 and 2006. Sergio also obtained the Certificado Aptidão Profissional (transporte passageiros) from the Federeção Portuguesa de Taxis in September 2012, the Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council in September 2009, and Sequence Analysis using High Performance Computing from Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência in December 2006. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Advance Your Cybersecurity Career and Cybersecurity Careers: Getting Started as a CISO in October 2022, Blockchain Basics and Blockchain Programming in iOS Using Swift in August 2019, and Agile Project Management, Agile at Work: Building Your Agile Team, Agile at Work: Driving Productive Agile Meetings, Agile at Work: Getting Better with Agile Retrospectives, Agile at Work: Planning with Agile User Stories, Agile at Work: Reporting with Agile Charts and Boards, Animations and Transitions in the Android SDK, Become an Agile Project Manager, and Techniques for Developing Secure Software in December 2016. Sergio has also obtained certifications from WhiteHat Security, including APPLICATION SECURITY CRASH COURSE TRAINING PART 1 in February 2016 and WhiteHat Security Crash Course: Part 2: Abusing a User’s Trust for a Site in January 2016.
