Obi Emetarom

Obi Emetarom is an Electrical Engineer, and graduate of the Federal University of Technology Owerri. In 2002, Obi co-founded Techinfinity Ltd where, as chief executive officer, he led the rapid growth of the new software company and eventually consolidated on its gains by brokering a merger, which created Nigeria’s foremost e-payment application development company; Parkway Projects Ltd in 2004.

As co-founder and Pioneer Executive Director of Parkway, Obi played a major role in driving Parkway Projects to market leadership in the area of electronic payment software. While in his executive capacity as director of business development he created various innovative client-facing solutions and formulated as well as implemented multiple winning business strategies on a corporate and product level.

In 2008 Obi co-founded AppZone to focus on the broader goal of providing technology to digitize and automate economic activities within the financial services industry on the African continent. From inception Obi has led AppZone’s stellar growth and subsequent emergence as Africa’s leading provider of Fintech software platforms with USD15m in funds raised and 200 seasoned professionals across 5 subsidiaries servicing clientele in 6 African Countries including 90% of commercial Banks and more than 450 MFIs in Nigeria.
