APRESO – Applied Research in Society and Organizations is a Research Centre of the University of Verona dedicated to work, organizations, and their transformations in contemporary society. Adopting a scientist-practitioner approach, which combines scientific knowledge with applied practice, the Centre grounds its work in a solid methodological core focused on the design and use of empirical research, measurement tools, and assessment systems to analyse, understand, and make complex psychological and organizational phenomena interpretable. These same competencies are applied to a second area of inquiry, which is increasingly relevant to the world of work and to society: the relationship between people, technologies, and work, and, in particular, between human intelligence and artificial intelligence, with its implications for decision-making and organizational processes, the distribution of tasks and responsibilities between human and artificial agents, and the ethical and social issues that arise from it. From this intersection between method and new objects of inquiry emerge the Centre’s activities in research, scientific consultancy, training, and Third Mission, in dialogue with organizations, institutions, and professional communities.
