Andy Bryant

Andy Bryant has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Andy is currently working as the Director of Engineering at APRIL since March 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Simple Machines Pty Ltd as an Associate Director from May 2019 to March 2020 and as a Principal Consultant from July 2016 to May 2019.

Before joining Simple Machines Pty Ltd, Andy worked at Westpac as a Senior Tech Lead from January 2013 to July 2016. In this role, they led a team of developers in designing and implementing a microservice based platform for FX trading.

From September 2010 to January 2013, Andy worked at UBS Investment Bank as a Director. Andy led a team of developers in building core services and APIs for a client-facing SDP project.

Prior to UBS Investment Bank, Andy worked at Lab49 as a Senior Consultant from June 2008 to August 2010. Andy played a key role in developing financial rich internet applications using Java and Flex.

Before Lab49, Andy worked at UBS Investment Bank as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2007 to June 2008, where they developed Flex-based STP applications for the Fixed Income division.

Andy's earlier work experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at uiActive, a Senior Java Contractor at Milestone Group Pty Ltd, a Senior Java Developer at Wagerworks Inc, and a Software Engineer at the University of Canterbury.

Overall, Andy Bryant has demonstrated a strong technical background in software development, team leadership, and project management throughout their career.

Andy Bryant attended the University of Canterbury from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computer Science.
