Karen Bates

Karen Bates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in accounting and retirement services. Currently serving as a Partner at Aprio since September 2018 and at North Fulton Retirement Services, LLC since November 2013, Karen has demonstrated a strong commitment to the field. Previously, Karen worked as a CPA at Waddell Smith Retirement Services from April 1996 to November 2013, where Karen also held the position of Partner at Waddell Smith Magoon & Freeman, LLC from 1996 to 2009. Additionally, Karen contributes to the community as a Volunteer and Foster Mom at Angels Among Us Pet Rescue since April 2012. Karen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Oglethorpe University, earned between 1984 and 1989.
