Andrei Belov

Andrei Belov is an accomplished machine learning professional currently serving as Machine Learning Lead at Apron since June 2023. Prior to this role, Andrei was the Head of Data Science at Sberbank from August 2017 to January 2023, where responsibilities included assembling and leading a cross-functional data science team and participating as a product manager and lead engineer. Andrei gained teaching experience as a Computer Science Tutor at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, developing programs in algorithms, natural language processing, and advanced machine learning. Previous work includes positions as a Machine Learning Engineer at ABBYY and GdeMaterial, as well as co-founding SmartBuy and contributing as a Software Engineer at FaceFinder and Instream. Educationally, Andrei holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from MIPT and an Associate’s Degree in Computer Software Engineering from Moscow Technical College.
