Helping Female Founders Go Further, Faster

Apropela accelerates the growth of female-led businesses by connecting outstanding founder CEOs with senior leaders across business, government and community.

Through curated introductions, exclusive events and a trusted national network, we turn connection into opportunity — unlocking access to customers, partnerships and capital, that drive real growth. Together, we’re changing the numbers by backing bold women to lead, scale and create lasting impact.

Changing the Game for Female Founders

Australia is home to nearly one million women-led small businesses — a powerful force of innovation and economic potential. Yet female founders receive less than 2% of global venture capital funding. While early-stage support is improving, pathways for women scaling ambitious ventures remain limited, and the networks that fuel growth often feel out of reach.

Apropela exists to change that imbalance.

Founded in 2010 by four visionary women (originally as Heads Over Heels), Apropela was built on a simple truth: women weren’t underperforming — they were under-connected. Our unique model connects growth-ready female CEOs and founders with influential leaders who can unlock customers and opportunity — turning access into action and ambition into impact.
