Derek Chong

Derek Chong is an experienced web developer with a strong background in software development and programming. Currently employed at Apryse since March 2022, Derek is responsible for maintaining the Windows UWP SDK for PDF viewing and editing, conducting research and development for platform integrations, and supporting customers with SDK-related issues. Prior to Apryse, Derek worked at The NARMCO Group as an IT Programmer, where customizations to the ERP system were developed and SQL queries for reporting were written. Derek's experience also includes a summer internship at Sunnybrook, where prototyping work with Unity3D was undertaken, and a capstone programming project at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, which involved creating a training application using Unity3D. Derek holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) in Game Development and Entrepreneurship from Ontario Tech University.
