Raf Hens

Raf Hens is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership and product management. Currently serving as VP Engineering at Apryse since February 2023, Raf also holds significant positions as Chairman of the Board and Board Member at PDF Association since June 2021. Prior to this, Raf spent over a decade at iText Software, advancing from Senior Software Engineer to CTO, where responsibilities encompassed leading technology divisions, driving product strategy, and fostering innovations such as iText DITO. Raf's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Ghent University and executive education from Vlerick Business School. Additionally, Raf has a research background from Ghent University focusing on adaptive software and quality optimization.
