Robert Coggin has extensive work experience in various industries. Robert started their career in 1998 in the United States Navy's Nuclear Power Program, where they spent 8 years as a Nuclear Plant Supervisor/Reactor Operator. During their time in the Navy, they oversaw the operations and maintenance of two A4W PWR reactor plants and was involved in a successful digital I&C retrofit project.

After leaving the Navy in 2006, Coggin worked as a Crew Chief at Professional Communications Systems, specializing in high-end commercial A/V and broadcast station system design and integration. Robert was directly involved in notable projects, including the installation and testing of a multi-million dollar A/V and broadcasting network for One Buc Palace, the headquarters of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In 2007, Coggin joined Rev1 Energy, where they held various roles. As a Senior Field Services Manager/Senior Recruiter, they managed and recruited field employees and contractors for construction and commissioning projects worldwide. Robert also served as a Project Manager, leading an electrical team in the installation of new equipment for power plant sites. Additionally, they created and managed the Rev1 Nuclear Group, a division dedicated to serving commercial nuclear power clients.

Most recently, Coggin worked at APS Solutions as a Senior Technical Recruiter starting in 2022.

Robert Coggin has a diverse educational background. Robert obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology, with a focus on Nuclear Engineering and Operations, Physics, and Mathematics, from Thomas Edison State University.

Prior to that, they attended Navy Nuclear Prototype Training Unit from 2000 to 2001, where they received a DOE Certification in Applied Reactor Operational Theory, I&C Troubleshooting, Maintenance, and Electric Plant Operations.

Between 1999 and 2000, Robert attended Navy Nuclear Power School, studying Reactor Physics, Advanced Mathematics, Advanced Electrical, Chemistry, Metallurgy, and Operations.

Before that, from 1998 to 1999, they enrolled in the Navy Nuclear Field Electronics Technician School, where they studied Electrical/Electronic Theory and Fundamentals, Mathematics, Digital circuits, and troubleshooting.

In 2001, they also completed the Electronics Technician Maintenance School, earning a Certificate of Completion in Advanced I&C Maintenance and Troubleshooting at the Supervisory Level.

Additionally, Robert completed Allen Bradley PLC Courses in 2012, focusing on Programmable Logic Controllers (RSLogix 5000).

Their educational journey started with a high school diploma from Armwood High School, which they obtained from 1989 to 1992.

Robert also holds a certification as a Certified Technology Specialist, obtained in February 2007 from InfoComm.
