John Kumer

John Kumer is an experienced professional in the field of process development and analytical sciences, currently serving as the Director of Process Development and Head of Analytical Sciences at Aptevo Therapeutics Inc. since June 2016. Kumer leads CMC activities for the clinical development of ADAPTIR™ therapeutic candidates, guiding the development of manufacturing processes and analytical methods for pre-clinical candidates. Previously, Kumer held roles as Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at Aptevo, focusing on cell culture and purification processes for bispecific antibody-like therapeutics and serving as a cross-disciplinary lead on numerous projects. Prior experience includes a Senior Scientist position at Sony Life Electronics and a Senior Scientist role at Trubion Pharmaceuticals.
