Matthew Bailey has a diverse work experience in the field of molecular biology and antibody engineering. Matthew is currently working as a Scientist II at Aptevo Therapeutics Inc. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Associate at the Seattle Institute for Biomedical and Clinical Research. Matthew also held the role of Scientist at Proteios Technology. Matthew has extensive postdoctoral research experience, having worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at both the University of Washington and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Matthew started their academic career as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Oregon and also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Matthew began their professional journey as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Juniata College, where they used NMR spectroscopy for protein diffusion studies and later worked as a Teaching Assistant.
Matthew Bailey completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Oregon, where they studied from 2010 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry with a secondary emphasis in Philosophy from Juniata College, studying from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, Matthew also participated in a study abroad program at the University of Leeds, focusing on Biochemistry.
