Juan Botha

Juan Botha has extensive work experience in various leadership and managerial roles. Juan currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Aptic AB since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Vice President/Business Area Manager at the same company from September 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining Aptic AB, Juan worked at Intrum as the IT Director from September 2011 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing IT operations.

Juan also worked at AfterPay as a Consultant Business Solutions from November 2010 to August 2011. Juan provided advisory services on scorecard, fraud, and business rules for credit risk checks. Additionally, they supported web retailers with technical and operational assistance related to AfterPay applications.

Earlier in their career, Juan held positions at Experian. Juan served as the Head of Delivery, Credit Services from May 2007 to October 2010. In this role, they supervised the delivery and development of software products and services for the Credit Services business line. Juan also managed teams both locally and internationally. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Business Intelligence at Experian from November 2003 to April 2007.

In 1990 to 1992, Juan attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science.

From 1996 to 1998, they enrolled in the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they obtained an Honours B.Sc. degree in Computer Science.

Between 2004 and 2006, Juan studied at the University of the Witwatersrand, earning an MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General.

In 2006, they also attended the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, for an MBA Exchange program focused on Business Administration and Management, General.
