James Helton

James Helton has served as a Field Environmental Scientist at Aptim since May 2018, where responsibilities include the collection, interpretation, and presentation of data to support natural resource managers and engineers in the planning and implementation of CWPPRA projects, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of restoration actions across the Louisiana coastal zone. Prior experience includes working as a Seasonal Interpretive Ranger at Radnor Lake State Natural Area from May 2010 to August 2011, focusing on trail construction, park supervision, and field research. Additionally, James Helton worked as a Ballroom Dance Instructor at National Dance Clubs from November 2001 to May 2004. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Conservation Ecology and Natural Resource Management from Lipscomb University, completed in 2014, and a certification from the FEMA Emergency Management Institute in 2019.
