Joe Rea

Joe Rea is an experienced product engineer with a strong background in image processing and firmware development. Currently employed at Aptina Imaging since February 2009, Joe focuses on developing and modifying image processing techniques using Python and C/C++ for CMOS image sensors. Previous roles include Firmware Development Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, where Joe was responsible for the implementation and stability of multifunction laserjet printers, and Product Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. Joe's earlier experience also includes positions at Agilent Technologies, Renishaw plc, and Conceptual MindWorks, Inc., contributing to projects involving high-accuracy measuring systems and circuit card diagnosis. Joe holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
