Patrick Lea has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Patrick began their career as a Cooperative Engineer at Honeywell from 1987 to 1991. Patrick then worked as a Lead Process Engineer/Product Engineer at Texas Instruments from 1992 to 1997, where they conducted component design and characterization. After this, they joined Lexmark as a Lead Test & Process Engineer in 1997 before being recruited to Applied Science Fiction as a Systems Engineer/Process Engineer later that year. In these roles, they designed and analyzed new toners and laser printers, as well as developed digital imaging technologies. Lea then joined Eastman Kodak in 2003 as a Senior Systems Engineer/Director of Image Quality & Measurement, where they worked on product development, statistical analysis, and quality processes related to imaging and sensing. From 2005 to 2009, they served in various managerial positions at Wayport, Inc., overseeing technical program management, data group, and software engineering. Lea then joined AT&T in 2009 as a Director, Wi-Fi Network Planning and later as a Director, Business Intelligence & Big Data Analytics. In these positions, they played a key role in planning and integrating Wi-Fi networks, as well as developing enterprise analytics platforms. After their time at AT&T, Lea worked at CDS Global, Inc. as an Executive Director, Enterprise Data and BI Infrastructure, responsible for driving the data solutions vision and managing staff and external resources. Most recently, they joined PWL Data Technology in 2018 as an Executive Consulting, Data Technology. Currently, they hold the position of Senior VP, Enterprise Infrastructure and Architecture at Aptos Retail.

Patrick Lea attended Southern Methodist University from 1986 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. During the same time period, they also obtained another Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the same institution.
