Principal Engineer - Imaging Applications at Aputure

Tim Kang serves as the Principal Engineer for Imaging Applications at Aputure, focusing on color engine and imaging standards development, quality control, and industry education. As the Lighting Committee Chair for the Motion Imaging Technology Council at the American Society of Cinematographers, Tim plays a key role in connecting industry leaders and establishing technical guidelines for solid-state lighting in motion picture photography. With extensive experience as a cinematographer and camera operator for TSK Pictures, and previous roles at Quasar Science and the American Film Institute, Tim has a robust background in cinematography, color workflow, and technical standards development. Tim holds an MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
