Dr Eileen Deng

Dr. Eileen Deng is an accomplished educator and researcher with extensive experience in the field of science education, currently serving as an Examiner Associate for GCSE Chemistry at AQA since May 2022. At The Hurlingham Academy, Dr. Deng has held multiple roles, including Instructional Coach, Acting Head of Science, and KS4 Science Curriculum Lead, where responsibilities range from curriculum development to lesson planning and teacher observations. Dr. Deng has also designed and delivered GCSE Chemistry content for Oak National Academy and mentored trainee teachers through the Teach First program. With a strong academic background, Dr. Deng earned a PhD in Microwave Process Engineering from the University of Nottingham, where research focused on biodegradable polymers. Additional experiences include a position as an Honorary Research Associate at King's College London and various internships in project design and administrative assistance.
