Emma Armitage

Emma Armitage is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education and assessment. Currently serving as a Product Manager at AQA since May 2015, Emma has held multiple leadership roles including Product Development Lead, Assessment Design Manager, and Lead Researcher, where significant contributions include leading a project to establish design principles reflecting best practice assessment. Previous experience at AQA also includes conducting research on critical issues in education and the impact of policies on primary school children's reading and GCSE students' subject choices. Emma's academic background includes a PhD in Psychology and an MSc with Distinction, both from Lancaster University, where research focused on children's interpretation of pictures and visual cues.
