Jonathan Chen

Jonathan Chen currently serves as the Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Brighton College, where responsibilities include overseeing the cultural calendar and integrating DEI principles into the curriculum. Additional roles include Deputy Housemaster at a boys' boarding house, Deputy Head of Personal, Social, Health, and Economic Education (PSHEE), and Teacher of Chemistry. As a resident boarding tutor, Jonathan Chen focuses on pupil welfare and safeguarding. In addition to teaching, Jonathan Chen works as an examiner for A-level Chemistry with OCR and GCSE Chemistry with AQA. Prior experience includes teaching mathematics and chemistry at Churcher's College and acting as Head of Academy for the higher attainers program. Jonathan Chen has been involved with the charity Just Like Us as an ambassador and was a student ambassador at King's College London. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from King's College London, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from UCL Institute of Education, and ongoing postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge.
