Laura Butler

Laura Butler is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in internal and external communications across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Internal Communication and Communications Business Partner at AQA, Laura leads employee communications strategies that amplify employee voices and enhance workplace culture. Previously, Laura held the position of Senior Communications Officer at Surrey County Council, where a multi-channel communications strategy was developed for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. Laura also served as Communications Manager at the University of Surrey, managing Covid-19 communications and leading a team to deliver effective messaging to a community of 21,000 staff and students. Additional experience includes roles at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, focusing on press and PR activities, and earlier positions in journalism and marketing. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Birmingham.
