Simon Oakes

Simon Oakes is an experienced professional in the field of geography education and assessment, currently serving as a Subject Advocate for AQA Geography and Chair of Examiners at Qualifications Wales since April 2023 and January 2024 respectively. Oakes has held various examination roles, including Chair of Examiners at Pearson and Senior Examiner and Geography Consultant at WJEC. Other roles include Vice-Chair of the International Baccalaureate Examination Board and significant contributions as a freelance editor for Hodder Education.
