Stephen Belding

Stephen Belding is an experienced educator with a robust background in chemistry and educational leadership. Currently serving as a Science Council Member and Science Paper Compiler at the Independent Schools Examinations Board since March 2025, Stephen is responsible for developing balanced examination papers that align with the syllabus and ISEB style. In addition to this role, Stephen is a CPD Course Leader at Keynote Educational, delivering professional development courses focused on science department leadership and maximizing student outcomes. Stephen has held multiple key positions at Rugby School, including Chemistry Teacher, Head of Chemistry, and Content Developer for Rugby School Online. With experience as an A-level Examiner for AQA and a contributor to educational content at Seneca Learning, Stephen's comprehensive expertise in chemistry education is further enhanced by a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
