Michael Gaspers has extensive experience in quality assurance and information technology within the food industry, currently serving as the Director of IT Application Delivery at Smithfield Foods since December 2013. Gaspers has held various senior leadership roles at Smithfield, including Senior Director of IT Strategy & Delivery and oversight of technical services and quality assurance. Prior experience includes managing quality assurance systems and documentation processes at Farmland Foods for over 30 years. Gaspers is an active member of the National Conference on Weights and Measures and ASQ, and formerly participated in fraternal activities as the Past State Deputy for the Iowa Knights of Columbus. Gaspers holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Doane University.
