Uma Ferrell is a Principal Aviation Systems Engineer with extensive experience in software safety and engineering management. Currently, they serve as a member of the UL-4600 Standards Technical Panel and are a principal author. Uma is also a peer reviewer for the Wiley Journal of Software: Evolution and Process, and a member of the Editorial Board for ASQ. They have held significant roles at Computer Sciences Corporation and MITRE, and have contributed to various committees, including IEEE 1012 and RTCA SC 205. Uma earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
