Nir Barak currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Aqua Security since December 2024, overseeing the Aqua Agent development group. Prior experience includes roles as Sr. Director of Agent R&D at Proofpoint from November 2019 to May 2025, and Director of Agent Development and Unix Architect at ObserveIT from January 2014 to May 2025. Nir held the position of Director of Development at CA Technologies from 2009 to January 2014, and at CA from 1999 to 2008. Additional experience includes serving as Development Team Lead at Memco from 1997 to 1999, and as a system programmer and communication team lead at the Israel Defense Forces from 1994 to 1997, along with the role of MF System Programmer in the IDF from 1991 to 1994. Nir Barak obtained a BSc in Computer Science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 1987 and 1991.
