Aquaya
Kara Stuart is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and research. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Manager at Aquaya since June 2018, Kara has held various roles within the organization, including Research & Program Manager, Research & Program Officer, and Program Associate. Prior to this, Kara was a Project Manager at the Coalition for Urban Rural Environmental Stewardship from July 2013 to September 2016 and served as Membership Manager at the Central Coast Groundwater Coalition from November 2013 to July 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis, obtained between 2016 and 2018, and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz, earned from 2008 to 2012.

The Aquaya Institute is a non-profit research and consulting organization. We deliver knowledge and tools to help achieve universal access to safe water. Aquaya strengthens public and private delivery of clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) access in developing countries by combining cutting edge research with strategic consulting. Founded in 2005 by two PhD scientists, Aquaya’s goal is to bridge the divide between academic research and field implementation of measures that expand access to safe drinking water. We provide our clients and partners with in-depth knowledge and experience across a range of disciplines from water quality monitoring to consumer research to impact evaluation.
