Michael Balzer

Michael Balzer is a senior investment director at ARAG, specializing in Special Investments and Strategic Asset Allocation since November 2021. With extensive experience in alternative investments, particularly in Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Real Estate, Michael oversees Asset & Liability Management for the Group. Prior to ARAG, Michael served as Head of Special Solutions at Mount Street Group, managing significant performing and non-performing loan portfolios and leading a team in Düsseldorf and London. Michael's earlier roles include Managing Director at EAA Portfolio Advisers GmbH and Portigon AG, as well as a Vice President at Deutsche Bank AG, where responsibilities spanned multiple international locations. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from NEOMA Business School and a Dipl-Kfm in Betriebswirtschaftslehre from European-University Viadrina.
