Daniel Vargas is an experienced engineer with a focus on process and capital planning within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as Lead Engineer in the Strategy & Capital Planning Department at Aramco since July 2017, Daniel has developed pre-feasibility studies for various downstream business opportunities and has been instrumental in enhancing the competitiveness of existing assets. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Lead Engineer at Honeywell, where technical leadership was provided for operator training simulator development for PEMEX, and extensive tenure at PDVSA INTEVEP from 2003 to 2016 in various roles, including Lead Process Refining Engineer and Project Lead, where significant contributions were made to refining technical assistance projects, process optimization, and major project developments. Daniel holds a Master's degree in Refining Engineering from IFP School and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar.
