David Cleary is a seasoned automotive executive with over three decades of experience in driving innovation and sustainability within the automotive industry. Having served as R&D Staff Researcher at General Motors from 1994 to 2008, Cleary led pioneering research in engine technology and contributed to the development of advanced vehicle systems. From 2008 to 2013, as a GM Technical Fellow and Group Manager, Cleary established state-of-the-art engineering research teams and facilities in China. Currently serving as VP at Horse Powertrain and Director at the Aramco Research Center in Detroit, Cleary continues to lead strategic initiatives in transport technology and climate sustainability. David holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
