Mark Simmons

Mark Simmons is an accomplished geoscience professional with 30 years of extensive experience in major E&P operators. They have been instrumental in significant hydrocarbon discoveries in the UK, Egypt, and Trinidad, and are currently a Geophysical Consultant in the Strategy and Portfolio Optimization Team at Saudi Aramco. Previously, Mark held various leadership roles, including Exploration Manager for multiple regions and a key member of BG's inaugural Assurance team. They possess a strong technical and commercial acumen, with expertise in risk assessment, prospect evaluation, and leading diverse teams across cultures. Mark holds a Master of Science in Basin Evolution and Dynamics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Bachelor of Science in Geological Geophysics from the University of Reading.
