Tim Thiel

Tim Thiel is a Senior Research Engineer at Aramco since January 2018, specializing in the design and development of electronics, software, and algorithms for sensors and process control. With over twenty years of experience as an Embedded Systems Engineer at Thiel Engineering, Tim has developed electronics and embedded software for various applications, including motion control, imaging, and instrument control, serving notable clients such as the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Motiv Engineering. Prior to these roles, Tim worked as a Consulting Engineer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and held electrical engineering positions at M/A-COM Technology Solutions and GE Global Research, focusing on digital electronics for communications and medical imaging. Tim holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
