Robert Banick is a Data Engineer at Arbol since March 2022, focusing on the design and optimization of production pipelines for large scientific climate datasets in Python. Prior to this role, Robert served as a Geospatial Technology Specialist at the World Bank Group from September 2015 to April 2022, developing Python-based toolkits for geospatial modeling and analysis of economic structures. Robert has also contributed to various short-term deployments with Médecins Sans Frontières, providing GIS support for emergency projects in Central America and Mozambique. Additional experience includes work as an IM Manager for the Housing Recovery & Reconstruction Platform, Data Analyst at Save the Children International, and GIS Consultant at Habitat for Humanity International. Robert holds a Master of Science in Environmental Economics from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and Latin American Studies from George Washington University.
