In 1985, Nigam became the President of Analytical Design Service Corp., a reputable engineering firm specializing in leading engineering projects and providing technical staffing services. During their time there, they oversaw over 600 engineering design/analysis projects for prominent clients such as Ford, GM, Toyota, Bosch, and GE. In 2010, Nigam took on the role of CEO and CTO at ArborWind, where they focused on designing and refining solutions for Vertical Access Wind Turbines, including remote control capabilities and integration with other energy-generating technologies. Overall, Dilip Nigam has demonstrated expertise in engineering, leadership, and innovation throughout their career.
Dilip Nigam attended Pioneer High School from 1973 to 1977, but did not earn a degree or specialize in any specific field during this time. Subsequently, Dilip enrolled at the University of Michigan from 1977 to 1980, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
