Max Queenan has worked in a variety of engineering roles since 2010. In 2010, they started as a Float Technician at Teledyne Webb Research. In 2012, they became a Research Assistant at the CMU Robotics Institute, Vision & Autonomous Systems Lab. In 2014, they were an Aerostructures and Manufacturing Engineer at Vayu, LLC. In 2013, they were Vice President of Manufacturing and Head of Aerodynamics at Carnegie Mellon Racing. In 2015, they were a Structures Intern at Space Exploration Technologies. From 2016 to 2022, they were a Structures Engineer, Structures Engineer II, Lead Structures Engineer, and Manager Starship Engineering at SpaceX. Currently, they are a Vehicle Engineer at Arc Boat Company.

Max Queenan received their High School Diploma from Phillips Academy in 2011. Max then attended Carnegie Mellon University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016.
