Michael Wayne Bexton

Michael Wayne Bexton is the Director of Economy, Environment and Assets at Nottinghamshire County Council, leading the ambitious Place agenda. They bring extensive public sector leadership experience in environment, housing, and economic regeneration, notably recognized as one of the top 500 global influencers on environment and sustainability in 2021. Previously, Michael held key roles at organizations such as Nottingham City Council and Natural England, where they managed multi-million pound transformational projects. Currently serving on multiple boards, including the ADEPT Environment Board, Michael is passionate about driving organizational innovation and effective collaboration for community benefit. They are also pursuing a degree in Environmental Management at the University of Derby.
