Christopher Sim has a diverse work experience in the field of product design. Christopher started their career as a UX/UI Design Intern at Sands Costner, where they redesigned Orion First Financial's customer portal and improved the user experience. Christopher then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington Human Centered Design & Engineering, leading the design of the Teen Design Lab and collaborating with teenagers to enhance usability and design direction.

Christopher later joined Flexport as a Product Design Intern, where they designed a data ingestion and indexing tool within Data Authority, improving the effectiveness of the company's products in serving users. Christopher then interned at Edifecs as a UX Design Intern, gaining further experience in the field.

Returning to Flexport, Christopher joined as a full-time Product Designer, leading the design on features focused on Shipment Observability. Christopher'sresponsibilities included launching an MVP to users, resulting in increased customer satisfaction, faster page load times, and shipment on-time performance improvement.

In 2022, Christopher worked as a Product Designer (Capstone) at Uber, collaborating with the trip team to design eight features aiming to enhance the trip experience for both riders and drivers. Christopher conducted research, drove the visual and interaction design, and created a proof of concept, including directing, filming, and editing a concept showcase film.

Most recently, Christopher joined Arc as a Product Designer in 2023, where they are currently employed.

Christopher Sim's education history began in 2015 at Foothill College, where they pursued a Transfer Degree in Computer Science. Christopher studied there until 2018. In that same year, they obtained a certification from Microsoft for "MTA: Introduction to Programming Using JavaScript." Afterward, Christopher attended the University of Washington Tacoma from 2018 to 2020, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MS) in Human-Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington.
