Daniel Vriend is currently the Principal and Senior Practice Lead for Transit at Arcadis, a role they began in 2024. Previously, they served in various leadership positions at the City of Edmonton from 2018 to 2021, including General Supervisor of Urban Places and General Supervisor of Urban Transportation, where they focused on planning and designing active modes infrastructure. Daniel's earlier experience includes working as a Transportation Consultant at Stantec from 2005 to 2010. They earned a B.Sc in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2006.
