Gert Kroon

CEO, Arcadis Netherlands at Arcadis

Gert Kroon is the current CEO of Arcadis Netherlands and was previously a shareholder at Centrum Veilig Wonen from October 2014 to July 2020. CvW is a joint venture of Arcadis and CED, and Gert was responsible for the management and reinforcement of buildings needed in the wake of the Groningen earthquakes.

From 2013 to 2015, Gert served as General Manager of Arcadis Polen. In this role, they were responsible for the company's transformation and growth strategy. During their time at Arcadis, Gert has also served as the Transformation Director for Germany. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's transformation efforts across Germany.

Under Gert's leadership, Arcadis has become a leading global provider of professional services in engineering, design and consulting. With over 27,000 employees in more than 70 countries, Arcadis is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people everywhere.

Gert Kroon studied engineering at Wageningen University & Research and then went on to complete a registeropleiding in geschiktheid pensioenfondsen at Swalef. After that, they attended the digital leadership workshop at Vlerick Business School and the finance for executives program at INSEAD. Gert also completed the advanced management program at ARCADIS and the Arcadis management program at University of Twente.

Gert Kroon reports to Peter Oosterveer, CEO & Chairman. They are on a team with Alan Brookes - COO, Virginie Duperat-Vergne - CFO, and Jacoline Van Blokland - Chief People Officer. Sandra Bolder - Director of HR, Arcadis Netherlands, Harm Albert Zanting - Directeur Water en Milieu, and Frans Hofstede - Finance Director, Arcadis Netherlands report to Gert Kroon.
