Jonathan Caino is a researcher in cultural heritage and archaeology, holding a Licentiate degree in History, a specialization in Material Culture and Archaeology, and a Master's degree in Social Memory and Cultural Heritage. They have extensive experience ranging from fieldwork to project management in archaeology, particularly in Historical Archaeology, and are actively involved in cultural heritage research. Since 2008, Jonathan has worked on environmental licensing related to various projects across multiple states in Brazil, and has served as an archaeologist at the Brazilian National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN) from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their archaeological pursuits, Jonathan is an illustrator and comic artist, aiming to disseminate complex academic concepts through comics to enhance public engagement with cultural heritage discussions. Currently, they serve as a Supervisor Ambiental at Arcadis.
