Stormwater Practice Leader

Mark VanAuken, P.E., CPMSM, ENV SP, is an experienced civil engineer with a robust career spanning several companies in the infrastructure sector. Currently serving as the Stormwater Practice Leader at Arcadis since December 2012, Mark leads the stormwater Community of Practice and focuses on national strategy for stormwater and green infrastructure projects, while promoting collaboration and sustainability aligned with corporate values. Prior to this role, Mark worked at Burgess & Niple as a Utility Infrastructure Pursuit Manager, overseeing large water, wastewater, and stormwater project pursuits from September 1996 to November 2012. Additionally, Mark has contributed to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in various capacities related to property and grounds management between 1998 and 2012. Earlier experience includes working as a Project Engineer/Project Manager at Black & Veatch from 1989 to 1996. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, completed in 1989.
