Michael Diaz

Michael Diaz currently serves as a Councilmember for District 1 in the City of Brookhaven, Georgia, starting in January 2024. With extensive experience in the engineering sector, Michael has held various leadership positions at Arcadis since 2018, including VP and Market Sector Leader, and previously served as AVP and Georgia Area Manager. Prior roles include Client Service Manager and Senior Project Manager at CH2M, as well as senior positions at Jordan, Jones & Goulding / Jacobs, and McKenzie MacGregor, Inc. Michael's early career involved work as a Project Engineer and Research Engineer at The University of Georgia, where academic credentials include a Master of Science in Biological Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. In addition to professional experience, Michael has participated in multiple leadership programs, including Leadership Georgia and Leadership DeKalb, and has been recognized as a Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever by the HACR.
