Rupert Townsend

Rupert Townsend is an accomplished Project Director and Steering Committee Lead at Arcadis, with extensive experience in transport infrastructure management, primarily within the Australian rail sector. Since joining Arcadis in May 2017, Rupert has held significant roles, including leading the Steering Committees for prominent projects such as the Sunshine Coast Tender and the Sydenham to Bankstown, Sydney Metro. Prior to Arcadis, Rupert served as Transport Infrastructure Manager at MWH Global, where key achievements included winning over $2.7 million in contracts and receiving the MWH President's Award. Rupert's earlier career includes pivotal positions at SMEC and various London-based firms, focusing on civil engineering projects. Rupert holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a Diploma of Industrial Studies from Loughborough University.
