Walter Baumy

Walter Baumy is currently the National Technical Manager at ARCADIS, where they focus on project delivery and quality management for water resource projects, specifically in flood risk management. From 2002 to 2013, Walter served as the Chief of the Engineering Division at the US Army Corps of Engineers, leading a staff of 300 and managing significant projects following Hurricane Katrina. Their earlier experience includes roles as Supervisory Structural Engineer and Chief of the Civil Branch, during which they contributed to various flood risk reduction and engineering design initiatives. Walter earned a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Tulane University and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of New Orleans.
