Ashwin Kumat

Ashwin Kumat is an experienced Robotics Engineer currently serving as Robotics Engineer III at ArcBest Technologies since September 2021, having previously held positions as Robotics Engineer II and I. Responsibilities include leading feature development tasks, managing a robotics team, and solving software instability issues in robotic autonomy. Prior experience includes a Graduate Student Researcher role at the University of Cincinnati, where Ashwin focused on ground robot localization using LiDAR and Genetic algorithms. Additional roles involved mentoring students on robotic arm design, working in telehealthcare robotics, and intern experience at Aker Solutions involving the design and assembly of robotic arms. Ashwin holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Robotics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
